Mrs. Hathaway was born July 26, 1921, among the green farmland of St. Libory, Ill., a daughter of Ben and Alice Albers, nee Middendorf. The family moved to St. Louis when Laura was a young girl.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her children Deanna (Tim) Kelley, Sharon (Robert) Hendry, Harry (Tina) Hathaway, Gary Hathaway and Debbie (Bruce) Pray; grandchildren Michele Svoboda, Ryan Kelley, Michael Kelley, Kim Koester, Todd Hendry, David Hathaway, Karen Hathaway, Rachel Burns, Jackie Wheeler, Doug Pray and Steve Pray; great-grandchildren Lauren Svoboda, Emily Svoboda, Kyle Svoboda, Shaun Kelley, Madison Koester, Michaela Hendry, Samuel Hendry, Caleb Koester, Lily Hendry, Chase Pray, Connor Pray and Caiden Pray.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, Mo. 63073. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m.
