Kenny was a cousin who lived life to the fullest! Heaven gained an Angel! Will surely be missed! 

It is still difficult to believe.  A good man...a very good man.  Until we see each other again old friend.

How do I begin to write down favorite memories of my Baby Brother, Kenneth (Kenny) Christensen. 

In this fragile emotion state I/We are all in right now, every memory is precious.

What is so incredibly difficult is that my mind and heart are being overflooded with my life and times with Ken.

I remember the night when our mom went into labor with Kenny.  I was a little girl at the age of seven. I was sleeping and my dad popped his head into our room. Dad said that he was taking my mom to the hospital and the next time I saw him I/ we, would know whether we were getting a little brother or sister. He said my older brother Mike would be watching over  Robyn and I until he returned.  

With a childhood joy,  we all had a baby brother.  From that day on, I have had the best sibling relationship any sister would be lucky to have.

And now, I have a lifetime of memories just racing around in my head.  It is so difficult to share just a few.

He was an amazing brother with a fantastic smile or grin. He had the best oneliner responses that always brought laughter.  He lived his life enjoying every moment.  Ken helped anyone out if needed. He was an amazing brother, Godfather to my daughter, Courtney and understanding and caring Uncle to my son, Jacob. 

I could go on and on with all my memories. I am blessed to have had such  wonderful brother. 

To read what everyone has shared about him now that he is in heaven is so comforting.

He will always be the Baby Son, Baby Brother, Godfather, Uncle, Great Uncle and Dearest Friend. 

Our lives have been forever touched to know this beautiful man. Ken had a profound and beautiful impact on all those who knew him. 

I love you dearly, Lil' Brother.  Till we meet again.  RIP.

It's with a heavy heart I share this, as I was deeply saddened to hear the news about Kenny.  

I met Kenny during freshman football tryouts in high school.  We've remained friends since.  Although we were blazing our own paths after high school, I received a call from Kenny in Jan 1989.  He said that his family was going to Miami for the Superbowl that year, an asked if I would like to join them... the catch was that we would have to leave in a few hours, and take his tiny truck for the 30 hour or so non-stop drive.

As most people who know me know that I am not a real spontaneous or impulsive guy, that proposal is something I would no never consider, but something told me to do it, and I listened to whatever that was.

If you want to really get to know someone, spend 30 hours couped up in a small truck with them.  I learned much more about him than I had in the 7 or so years I had known him prior.  His family was so accommodating & genuinely caring and fun.  I was very grateful for their hospitality.  We stayed with his cousin Carol & spent crazy times with his cousin Kerry (that is a whole other story... Kenny told me he had passed some years ago at a young age as well, RIP).

The game, although incredible, took a backseat to the family dynamic.  You could feel the bond  they all shared & the fun that they had when they were together (Inspiring)!

Coming back we took turns driving and sleeping on the floorboard of that tiny truck.  I wish we had cell phones with cameras back then to catch and share those memorable moments...  but I'll never forget the bond that we developed from that trip.

I offer my condolences and prayers as my heart goes out to the entire Christensen family during this time... 

If Kenny made that big of an impact on me during a weekend trip, I can only imagine the impact he had on family members privileged to experience his over the top, love-of-life on a daily basis.   May you find comfort in your faith & memories.

Growing up as cousins with the holidays 
One specific memory  I have is my dad (Ray) and his dad (uncle Bill took us after thanksgiving dinner to go goose hunting imagine the excitement I think I was 13 and Ken was 10. I think we made it in the hunting blind for about a hour got cold and ended up back at the truck asleep. Uncle Bill did get a goose and that was our Christmas dinner that year. But it gets better for a ten and thirteen year olds on the way home we stopped at a friend of uncle Bills I believe his name was Stewart not sure if it was first or last name but he had a top fuel dragster and got it out and gave us a ride down the country road needless to say I think freezing in the hunting blind was not the highlight of that trip. 

Although our family did not have the honor of knowing Kenny,  it is not hard to see the family resemblance with his 1/2 uncle (my Dad, Walter Haynes Christenson(sen) II).  It is clear that he had an amazing life surrounded by family and friends who loved and valued him. And that is the true measure of a life well-lived.  Kenneth was taken too soon, but will live in our hearts forever.💜🙏 Rest In Peace Dear Cousin. 

There are so many memories I’ve been recalling this last week. Kenny started out as our neighbor one house down over 15 years ago, and we were blessed to have him in our lives all of these years. His laugh is unforgettable, along with his mischievous grin. He was the best dinner guest and house guest. I loved when he cooked for us! He was always there for our family, through hard times and good times. He will be missed by so many who loved him. 

Kenny & I met our freshman year as his Family arranged for us to use their trailer for our float fir homecoming- we were very close friends in high school and after - he was always watching out for me & I him.  His family & friends meant everything to him- he was generous with his time and always had time to listen- Rest In Peace my dear friend!  Lisa Cooper Weindel

RIP Kenny! May God wrap his arms around you as you pass into heaven. Say hi to our friends that are already up there. You were called for a reason. They need some good BBQ I am thinking.  You 'll be missed down here.

Over the years my family and I have been fortunate to have spent time with Kenny, much of it hunting. I have two boys who are grown and out on their own now. When I learned of Kenny’s passing, my first thought was to let them know. To them he was Uncle Kenny and a part of our family. The both said to me, “sorry, Dad, we know he was one of your best friends.”  Over the Christmas holidays we will all be together and will raise a cold beer in memory of our Uncle Kenny and Best Friend. 

Kenny will be missed tremendously by all that knew him. He touched so many lives not only here in Texas but everywhere.   Kenny was always giving and doing for others and our community. Kenny had the biggest heart anyone could ever imagine.  He loved his family and friends deeply.  My heart smiles through the aches knowing that one day we will see each other again. So, until that day comes RIP Kenny aka “Care Bear”.

I was stunned to hear of Kenny's passing. He and I worked together for years at Hulcher Services. We traveled together and spent a lot of time together at work and at home. Prayers for Kenny's Mom and Family. I feel like I have lost a Brother. 

The Christensen family are in my thoughts and prayers. Although it has been several years since I connected with Ken, he will always hold a special place in my heart.

The year Santa visited to bring Uncle Kenny Helman's Mayonnaise because all we had at Thanksgiving was Miracle Whip.

I was saddened to hear the passing of my ex-husband, Kenny Christensen. I want to thank him for the good times we shared when we were together. I am thankful he was surrounded by friends at the time of his passing.

He loved his Christensen family immensely. He valued each and every relationship he had with  his friends. Kenny was kind hearted and would go out of his way to help anyone.Kenny met no stranger. He certainly was a character in his own right. He was a hard worker with a strong work ethic which he inherited from his father. 

Writing this with a heavy heart. RIP Kenny! You will be missed by your family and your dear friends! Healing prayers to the Christensen family. A good guy gone way too soon!




I have only known Kenny for a little less then 2 years. Kenny was the most amazing gentle giant. I have heard the stories when he lost his cool and you didn’t want to be on the other side. Fact is 99.9% of the time he was the most caring person that I have ever met.Kenny would bent over backwards to help anyone.  I am going to miss his smiling face, and our conversations. Love ya Brother tell Henry and Yankee Frank hi for us. 

He always greeted me HEY KID!  Even though I’m ten years older!  Maybe it was my shortness!  A gentle giant he was!
