George was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 20, 1920 to George H. and Louise Loesch, who preceded him in death. He was the beloved husband of over 60 years to the late Faye Loesch (nee: Cook); loving father of George W. Loesch (Mary), Carolyn Robinson (Gary), and William Loesch; devoted grandfather of 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and dear brother of the late Robert Loesch and the late Lorraine Koehler. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, ultimately earning the title of Master Sergeant. After his military service, he worked for Laclede Gas Company for about 40 years and retired in 1985. George enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and fishing. He took every opportunity to be outdoors, taking in his natural surroundings. George was a hard-working, friendly man who loved his family very much. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
