Gene Ezra Broadway

BROADWAY, Gene E., age 90 of St. Louis, Missouri on Friday, October 1, 2010. Loving father of LaDonna Houston, Sandra Broadway, and Cheryl (Carl) Duty; dear grandfather of Tina (Eric) Hardin, Nan (John) DeMoss, Shawn (Ramona) Maessen, Brian (Leia) Duty, and Michelle Duty, great-grandfather of Barry Thorburn, Tyler Rundel, Jessie Soto, Jake (Heather) Roberts, Georgia (Jeff) O’Hern, Ben Roberts, Caleb DeMoss, Ashley DeMoss, and Julia DeMoss; great-great-grandfather of Olivia Watkins, Thomas Watkins, and Ethan Roberts; dear brother of Ruth Prewitt; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Gene was a WWII Navy Veteran. He retired from McDonnell Douglas. Gene was a member of Scottish Rite and was a 32nd degree member of Masonic Lodge 623. He was a devoted member of Harvest Baptist Church. Gene was a gifted craftsman in woodworking and wrought iron. He will be dearly missed.

SERVICES: Funeral 1:30pm Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Alexander Funeral Home, 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd., St. Ann (739-1133). Interment Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation from 4-8pm Monday, October 4, 2010 with Masonic Service at 7pm at Alexander Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
