Edward William Hoffman, Jr., 92, of St. Ann, MO, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha (nee Kuhn) Hoffman and 2 brothers, George (Pat) Hoffman and Harold (Lucille) Hoffman. Ed is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie (nee Dunker); children, Daniel (Bonnie) Hoffman and Sandra (John) Miklich; grandchildren, Megan Hoffman, Brian Hoffman, Kelsey (Corey) Bennett, Jamie (Adam) Brush, Matthew (Aubrey) Miklich; great grandchildren, Drake, Jacob, Truly, and Sawyer; and brother, Bill (Laverne) Hoffman.
Ed was a proud WWII veteran and a member of VFW Post 3944 in Overland. He was a fun loving man who worked hard to support his family. He retired from the US Postal Service after more than 25 years of service. He and Rose loved to travel to warm places in their motor home. They spent many winters in Florida, Arizona, Texas and other states. One of his favorite things to do was playing cards with friends and family. He loved playing with his grandkids, seemed like he always had a new toy when they came to visit. He was a kind hearted person and will be dearly missed by all.
Friends may visit on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2-5 p.m. at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. Funeral service will be on Monday, March 12 at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment with full military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to the American Lung Association and expressions of condolence may be offered at www.alexanderstlouis.com.
