Betty Lou Cox

Betty Lou Cox (nee Kerkemeyer), born on June 6, 1924 in Mulkitown, IL passed away on July 4, 2016 at the age of 92. She was the eldest of 6 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Cleo (nee Price) Kerkemeyer; 3 brothers, Edgar, Richard, and John Joe; and one sister, Josephine.

She is survived by 3 daughters, LaDonna, Sandra, and Cheryl “Sherry” from her late husband, Gene Ezra Broadway whom she married in 1940; a stepdaughter, Donna Mueller; one “adopted” son, David Christman; 5 grandchildren, Tina, Nanette, Shawn, Brian, and Michelle; 4 great grandchildren, Barry, Tyler, William, and Kaiya; and four great step grandchildren; and 12 great great step grandchildren.

Betty was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She always loved to make people smile and had a kind heart and great sense of humor. She will missed by everyone who knew her.

Friends may visit on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4-8 pm at Alexander-White-Mullen Funeral Home in St. Ann. The funeral will be on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2 pm at the funeral home. Interment at Mt.
