Theresa Jean Weaver

Theresa Jean Weaver (Haviland) was born on September 7, 1955, in Sacramento, Ca, to Barbara and Clifford Haviland. She passed away on November 16, 2018 after a brief illness. Theresa graduated from Delta College in Stockton, becoming a Registered Nurse. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton as an Intensive Care nurse and earned her bachelor and master's degree in Nursing. She also served as a Clinical Cardiac Care Researcher and manager of the Rural Healthcare Outreach Program, providing health screenings and preventive care to underserved communities. For the past 4 years Theresa worked for Mercy Folsom Hospital, as a Clinical Informaticist. In 2018 she received the Hospital's "Values in Action" award, in recognition of her collaborative skills, dignity in providing care, and job performance excellence. Theresa was a soccer player, golfer, legendary cookie baker and lover of all-things chocolate. Her biggest joys were spending time with family and friends and attending events with her grandchildren who filled her heart with happiness. Theresa is survived by: Husband Robert Weaver; Mother Barbara Haviland; Sons Dave, Nic and Scott; Grandchildren Jordan, Morgan, Eli, Cameron, Jackson and Finley; Siblings Mary, John, Annie, Michael and Chris; Nieces Laura and Sara; Nephew Grant; Daughter in-law Michelle; and Best Friend Dana. There is no way that the words contained in this obituary can appropriately articulate the type of person that Theresa was and how deeply she will be missed by her family, friends, colleagues and strangers that have had the pleasure of meeting her. Her warmth and love will be missed by us all. Services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Peter's All Hallows Church, located at 5500 14th Avenue, Sacramento, CA. A reception will follow in the church hall. In leu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the following Charities: Society of Saint Vincent de Paul; The American Heart Association; and, The American Cancer Society.
