Ruthie's Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.

Ruthie's been my friend since about 1960 at Kit Carson Jr. High.  She was always there...After my Mother's funeral, in 1961, I left MY house on Brand Way, walked down the alley and over to her house - on C St.
I simply walked in without knocking and went to sit in the recliner.  I remember Mrs. Manary poking her head out and saying 'Hi'.  
Then I went into the fridge and got some potato soup and we just carried on...The Manary's saved my life that day.  My sanity, for sure.
I shared that with her once in an email and she called immediately, crying.  She was so glad she had been able to help that day.  She was 13...

I am so grateful we were able to re-connect in recent years.  When we had lunch with Jeanne Overstreet in October, I had no idea it would be the last time I'd see her...

She was in my life for a very long time and I expect she'll continue.  I believe her spirit visited me on Sunday.  I glanced at the photo of her and the grandkids then emailed her to tell her I missed her.  We hadn't spoken in awhile because it seemed I always called when she was napping...

My heart goes out to all of you.  I will keep all of you in my prayers.

Our friendship began at Sacramento High School.  We continued our friendship as members of the SHS66 reunion committee.  Our future meetings and reunions will be blessed with Ruth's memories of the fun we've had through the years at our reunions, garage sales (whe was our best customer too), and during our group meetings, dinners and BBQ's at Phil's. I'll never forget when I took you on a ride-along in my patrol car.  Never ever had anyone hide under the glove box of he car when we had to post at an intersection while we looked for an armed suspect, sorry that portion scared you so much. Your smile will be with me forever.  Love you,     Richard

Terry, Ryan, Carrie and family, when last we saw Ruthie she was fighting with all her might against this disease.  She is now at peace.  Your Mom was such a good, funny, caring person.  I love her and will miss her sparkle!

I'll miss you yaya Ruthie but will cherish fond memories of all the fun times we had.  You were always smiling and up for a good time.  I believe you lived more in your years than most people live their whole life.  Love you and will always be grateful that you were in my life.  Our "yaya sisterhood" will never be the same...

I met Ruth through my sister-in-law Jennifer McAdam, Ruth quickly became one of the family and was always at the "girl gatherings" with a smile, and wonderful sense of humor.
