Roy Clayton Vaughn

Roy was born Thursday October 14th, 1920, in Royston, Georgia, son of Wesley Barto and Ada Bruce Vaughn. Roy was married to Katherine Dahle Vaughn April 11th, 1949, and was engaged to Joann Kirkgaard. Roy was a 1st lieutenant pilot in the Air Force from 1943-1946. Roy Retired from the Department of Water Resources in 1986, and was a lifelong golfer and fisherman.

Roy leaves behind his legacy with his son John Vaughn, daughter Katherine Thompson (Deceased), step-children Robert, Thomas, and Susan Kirkgaard; Grandchildren Mark, Cecile, Paul, John, Brooke, Zack and Angela Thompson, Andrea and William Kirkgaard, Madeleine, Marielle, and Celine Champagne and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

A viewing will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 3:00-7:00pm with a Funeral Service Friday, January 25th, 2013, at 10:00 am both will be held at Harry A Nauman & Son 4041 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento Ca, 95822
