Nov 30, 1930-Sept 25, 2022 With great sadness, the family of Rita Crawley announces her passing into the loving arms of her heavenly Father.
Rita was a faithful wife for 61 years to her beloved husband, Barney (deceased, 2013), and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother to her extended family that she believed was her greatest blessing.
She leaves behind her children: Theresa (Kevin) Kannengeiser, Tom Crawley, Pat (Michael) Worley, Larry (Mary) Crawley, Kathy (Ed) Smith, and Maureen (Jeff) Abercrombie; grandchildren: Brian, Eric (Kate), Brian (Lizzie), Patrick (Natalie), Meghan (Jimmy), Jared, Ryland, Jeffrey (Ashley), Amanda (Ivan), Maggie Mae, Danny, Eileen (Alex) and Melanie, as well as eight great grandchildren. Also surviving her are sisters Kathleen Schmidig and Nancy (Ray) Sellhausen and many loved nieces and nephews, including her Irish family on Barney’s side.
Donations in her name can be made to the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services or Society of the Divine Savior Salvatorians, PO Box 758611, Topeka, KS 66675.
Our hearts are forever marked by the love Rita showered on her family and the prayer warrior she was for all of us.
Friends and family are invited to attend services on Monday, October 10, 2022 for the Rosary (10:30am) followed by a funeral Mass (11am) at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Carmichael. A reception will follow after a burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
