Peter graduated from Colstons School, a boy’s boarding school in Bristol, England. He obtained his commission, signed by Queen Elizabeth II, as 2nd Lieutenant with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Territorial Army on April 17, 1961. He then immigrated to America around 1964 and became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America on April 30, 1984. He felt it was his rightful responsibility to vote in every election. He graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in Bellevue, Washington and worked in the Banking Industry for 63 years, most recently with TMC Financial, an SBA Lender based in San Francisco.
There was a flip side to Peter. He was serious and soldiered through life, but he also had a rapier wit, as any who came under his fire can attest. He summed up a situation in just a few words that either left you gasping for breath or laughing hysterically, or both. He often said the unexpected, something many were thinking, but wouldn’t say out loud.
Peter loved to play golf and one of his treasured memories was playing Pebble Beach and the Links at Spanish Bay with Eiva, Vince and Noah. He never made his hole-in-one, but he always dreamed of doing it. To honor Peter’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered privately. A Celebration of life will also be made in the same manner and announced at a later date.
