Orrin Van Tassel, age 92, of Sacramento, California passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Orrin was born September 23, 1927.
Orrin was raised on his family farm in W. Sacramento with his sister Annette by their uncle Lauren. He served in the Navy as a Seabee. He married (and later divorced) Marjorie Ulrich, together they had two children, Lauren and Scott. He joined the California Highway Patrol in April 1956 and retired in October 1983. In retirement years, he enjoyed golfing, and if it was Tuesday, he could be found at the Jackson Rancheria, with his close friend Bob.
He is survived by sons Lauren and Scott, grandsons Bryson and Derek, great grandsons Oliver, Barry and Slade.
