Norma was born on August 29th, 1937 in Brownfield Texas to David William & Loie Ann (Tarpley) Farber. Norma was the baby of nine Farber children; five boys and four girls. When she was a young girl, the Farber family moved from Oklahoma to southern California where she met and married the love of her life George Royce Day in Huntington Beach in 1956. They would spend the next 63 years together.
Norma. and George moved to the Sacramento area in 1964 where together they raised their three sons Royce, Ron, and Kevin. Her passion in life was her faith and being the best person, she could be. She was the gentlest and most giving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all.
Mom was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years George Royce Day who passed away on December 4th 2018, as well as her father Dave and mother Loie, brothers Valton, Farris, Leo, Byrl and Roy as well as her sisters Helen and Aileen. She is survived by her loving sister Neva, her beloved sons Royce, Ron and Kevin, beloved daughters in-law Michelle and Tanya, as well as her eight grandchildren Jason, Aimee, Joshua, Alana, Brynna, Krystle, Jessica and Justin and her fourteen great-grandchildren Travis, Kali, Alexis, Chasity, Austin, Sienna, Chloe, Ryland, Mason, Luke, Grayson, Rowan, Oliver and Fanta, including many nieces and nephews.
Mom, we will miss your loving smile and kindness every day. May God’s grace be upon you and dad as you walk hand and hand together in heavens light.
In lieu of a funeral, per Mom and Dad’s request, a celebration of their life will be held in the fall with a time and place to follow.
