Michael King was born in Sacramento, California on October 11, 1955 and died on June 24, 2012 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Michael attended schools in the Elk Grove School District from grade school through high school and graduated from Elk Grove High in 1973. In his mid-twenties, Michael began working for Procter & Gamble for a period of 22 years from 1981 to 2003. He started at the Modesto Plant and later transferred to the Cincinnati Ivorydale Plant. Michael was an all around sports enthusiast and loved his San Francisco 49ers; after moving to Cincinnati, he adopted the Bengals and the Reds as a couple of his favorite sports teams. However, he will definitely be known for his love of NASCAR, if a race was on that's where his focus was.
Music was also a big part of Michaels life. He loved listening to The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and, almost on a daily basis, Elton John.
Michael enjoyed a good steak, as long as it was cooked on a CHARCOAL grill and he loved living in Cincinnati and the "4" seasons.
Michael is survived by his devoted parents Jack and Virginia King of Rancho Cordova; beloved daughters Emily and Elysia King of Modesto; loving sisters, Debra Domich and Pamela Regan (Ron); his dear friend and companion Felecia Britton of Cincinnati, OH; and his niece and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., July 7 at 11am at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home 5401 Folsom Blvd. (916) 451-7284.
