Michael is survived by his loving children Alicia Rose and Faith Ameila Herrera. He also leaves behind his parents David and Mary Herrera, his ex-wife Christina Herrera, his siblings and their spouses David Herrera Jr., Sylvia (Charlie) Martinez, and Debi (Donald) Hill, and several nieces and nephews.
God blessed and watched over Michael from birth. He had a rough start in life, losing his mother at birth without ever knowing her. Michael would never be without love. He was adopted by David and Mary Herrera. Michael was an absolute gift to our family. He brought so much joy to the entire family since the moment he was brought home. The love has never stopped and continues to grow even in death.
Michael was many things to many people. He wore many hats. A father, husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and the list goes on. He will be remembered by those who knew him well as a funny, quick wit all around good guy. Michael loved a good joke and enjoyed the simple things in life. A very laid back person who loved tacos and finding that good taco truck! He enjoyed many genres of music, movies, food, and most of all spending time with his daughters.
Michael will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him, but he will never be forgotten.
A mass will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius at 3235 Arden Way Sacramento, CA 95825.
