Marguerite "Peggy" Mary Jordan

Born in 1925 in Springfield, MA, Peggy grew up on the east coast, and spent most of her adult life working for the Dept. of Fish & Game.

Peggy was a decedent of Rev. Robert Jordan of Maine. She was a musician. She played mandolin and also learned to play the organ. She traveled to Ireland and met her cousins from her Grandmother Lunn’s family and she also made a pilgrimage around the world. Peggy was in the Army and spent part of the time in Japan.

In 2015, she celebrated 60 yrs as a Secular Franciscan. She held positions of Vice Minister and Regional Formation Director.

Peggy cared for her parents when they were older and never married.

She is survived by her sister, Beatrice R. Robinson, as well as two nieces Joanne and Betty, three nephews John (Julia), Eric (Venetta).

Services will be held April 7th at 9:30 AM at St Mary’s Church in Sacramento CA and then St. Mary’s Cemetery.
