Leland J Deverman

Leland John Deverman was born November 11, 1915, on Deverman Farm in Topeka, Illinois. Youngest of 5 children of Louise and John Henry Deverman. 3 sisters – Velma, Orene and Viola. 1 brother – Wilmer Henry (4 years older than Lee). Lee graduated from high school in 1933 at age 17. He graduated with a degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1940 at age 24. Lee married Elizabeth Sutton on February 24, 1942. They were married for 61 years until her death in January 2004. They had one son, John Charles Deverman, born March 15, 1947 at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Lee married Yvonne Dietrich on November 6, 2004. He has been a faithful and active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church for 66 years. Lee is survived by his wife Yvonne and son, John. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1701 L Street, Sacramento, CA 95811. Interment will take place the same day at 2:00 pm at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620.
