John Patrick "Jack" Doran was born on March 17, 1948 in Massachusetts to John William Doran, Jr. and his wife, Eileen Fitzpatrick Doran. The family later moved to Southern California. After school, Jack joined the Navy and served in the Vietnam War in a river patrol boat division. When Jack returned home to California, his parents had moved to Sacramento. He later joined them.
Jack enjoyed classic cars and motorcycles. He owned a motorcycle parts and repair shop and later started a towing and repossession business where he earned the nickname "Hi-Jack". He later attended law school and became a criminal paralegal, from which he retired.
Jack passed away in his home in Sacramento on September 26, 2021.
Jack is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Doran-Girard and Mary Doran Anderson, and several nieces and nephews, his son, William "Bill", future daughter-in-law, Heather, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
