I was sad to learn of John's passing. I first met John in 1976 when we worked at a firelog plant in Sacramento. We became good friends and even enjoyed playing tennis for years. I enjoyed visiting any time I had a chance. what I loved about John is he never judged you and was always himself and never worried what others thought. After the passing of his wife Jenny our visits became less and less. When we did get together we would catch up on each others life. John lived in the same place for almost 40 years and I guess I thought I would show up at his house and he would aiways be there. Even though he is no longer with us I know he is where he always wanted to be...back with his Jenny, and for that I cannot be sad. Til we meet again. 

I’m not sure that this John cross is the one I worked with at Black Diamond lumber co in approx 1975 he was from Bakersfield and had a degree in forestry, great guy please let me know if this sounds like him.
