Carmichael, CA-George “Noni” Plescia succumbed to injuries as a result of a fall in his home at the age of 82.
George was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 5, 1938 to Andrew and Sarah DiMaggio Plescia, immigrants from Sicily. Pre-deceased by his parents, his brother Michael I. Plescia and his sister Cecilia ”Corky” Plescia DeVine. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years Patricia Miles Plescia.
Proud father of George A. Plescia and Sarah Plescia-Boras. Father-in-law of Gerry Boras. Loving “Noni” to Marisa Boras, R.N. and Tessa Plescia.
Favorite uncle of Sarah M. Plescia, Andrew J. Plescia and Joan Drayton, James L. and Laurie DeVine, Darilyn Cole, Leslie Winn and the late Michael Miller. Great uncle of Lisa M. Plescia, Bryan and Steven Jablonski Plescia, Eric Ernst, Avery Orvis, Jordan Winn, Shondee, Carl and Max Kinne, Keira and Kai Aspillera. Also survived by numerous cousins in Sicily, Los Angeles and the East Bay.
In 1943 George moved with his parents to farm in the Florin, CA area. He attended Florin Elementary School and Elk Grove High School graduating in the class of 1957. He will be remembered as an excellent athlete, lettering in 4 sports. He was chosen to play in the first Optimist Club Football Championship game in 1957. After graduation, he soon got started in the construction business, his lifelong profession.
He was active in Parkway Estates and Florin Little League as a fan, coach, manager and sponsor.
George was also a member of the SIRS, Dante Club, Over the Hill Gang and the Arbresh Club of Sacramento.
George was also a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland A’s, a season ticket holder to both clubs for many years.

Due to Covid 19, a private graveside service was held on December 31, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
