Affectionately known as "Stan".
Surrounded by family, Stan passed away at home Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the age of 94.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaina. Two daughters, Teresa and Gail and three granddaughters - RaeAnna, Cameron and Jordan. He was preceded in death by his sister Marian Tool.
Stan was born July 15, 1929 in Sacramento, CA. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering in 1960. He retired in 1985 after working 25 years as an electronic engineer providing mechanical civil service support. Dad enjoyed driving so much, he also worked as a Pony Express driver for Pacific Gas & Electric for many years.
Stan was active most of his life in different Masonic organizations. He was a lifelong member of the following: Vallejo chapter of DeMolay, Cryptic Masons of California-King Solomons Council No. 29, Royal Arch Masons of California, Navel chapter No.35 and Knights Templar of Vacaville, Commandery No. 38. He served as an advisor for the Sacramento Bethel of Job’s Daughters, No.202.
Stan enjoyed tinkering in his shed. He was a talented woodworker. He was also known for his pyrotechnic skills every July 4th. Stan was a devoted family man, who found joy serving his wife and children and will be deeply missed.
There will be a Celebration of his Life on Saturday, January 27th at 2PM. Located at the Arden Park Community Center-1000 La Sierra Drive, Sacramento.
