Edward, a lifelong resident of Sacramento and a veteran city police officer, died on July 24, 2018 at the age of 89 at Sutter Hospital. He is survived and remembered by his daughters, Julie Ann and Elaine with spouse, Charles and grandchildren Victoria, and Brandon with fiancée Kyra. Also, he leaves behind his sister, Dorothy, and brother, Russ, along with other family members and many friends. Preceded in his death was his loving wife, Nancy, of 60 years of marriage, daughter Denice, and sister, Phyllis.
Edward rose through the ranks within the Sacramento Police Department, ending his career as Deputy Chief. After 30 years of service, he returned and performed background checks for potential new officers and this went on for several years.
Edward had few passions but the ones he held tightly were his family, the law, and baseball.

A visitation will be held at Harry A. Nauman & Son, 4041 Freeport Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95822 on Tuesday, July 31st from 1 PM to 3 PM. Private interment at East Lawn Cemetery.
