Donna Marie Halliday

Donna was born in Oakland California on March 11, 1951. She grew up with her parents Al and Marie and her brothers Dennis and Phillip. She graduated in 1969 from Saint Elizabeth High School as head cheerleader of her class. She worked as a PBX operator for over 20 years.

Donna was a remarkable woman with a great sense of humor and a contagious smile. She was a rock and a best friend to her son Jeremy. One of the greatest joys of her life was being present for the births of each of her grandchildren, Sera, Xavier, Jeremy Jr. and Robert. She loved every moment spent with them and her great granddaughter Zay,Lea.

Donna loved hummingbirds and watching the families of peacocks that lived around her home. She loved the holidays and her Christmas traditions will stay alive from the prime rib to the red ribbons on the tree. She didn’t care to go a day without chatting with her best friend/sister Sandy. Donna was survived by her son, grandchildren, great granddaughter, her partner Gordon Finley, her brothers, daughter-in-law, and so many friends who became family.

Donna was kind, beautiful, caring and very much a fighter. She touched the lives of anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Donna will forever be remembered as being as tough as she was fancy, and boy was she fancy.

A funeral gathering for Donna will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Lombard Funeral Home, 1550 Fulton Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95825. Following the funeral gathering will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sylvan District Cemetery, 7401 Auburn Blvd., Citrus Heights, CA 95610.
