Dinah Marie Afanador

Dinah Marie Afanador, born on June 10, 1957 in San Jose, California passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on November 8, 2022 in Sacramento, California. She is survived by her children Carlos, Jenny and Marco, her sisters Martha and Monica and her grandson Mateo.

Dinah moved to Sacramento in 1988 where she excelled in a career in electronics and she worked for companies such as Lockhead and Ford Aerospace. She was involved with her church community where she was a Sunday school teacher at the True Life Church in Sacramento, CA from 1990-1994. She also wrote the monthly church newsletter called the Rainbow Review. Dinah was devoted to her family and raised two wonderful children, Carlos & Jenny. Her pride and joy was her one and only grandchild, Mateo. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Dinah; she loved to dance and listen to music. Dinah was always known for being loving, generous and fun. She took in friends who needed a place to stay and always found a way to stay in touch with those she held dear, whether it was a text message with an encouraging message, or a greeting card in the mail.

Everyone Dinah knew will greatly cherish her impact on their lives, either through love, friendship, or kindness. She will be missed beyond measure.

Family and friends are invited to Nicoletti, Culjis and Herberger Funeral Home on December 10, 2022 where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception.
