He was born in Hong Kong, China on July 18, 1960 his father, Sung Tang (dec.), and his mother, Yuet Kai Wong (dec.). He entered the United States when he was 4 years old with his mother and sister, Helen Young (married name).
He is survived by his wife, Marie D.T. Tang, of 28 years; his children Justin and Jeremy Tang.
Sister and spouse: Helen and Richard Young; their children, Kristina "Tina"/or "Kris" (niece) Emperor with her spouse Don Schulman and Tina's daughter Bella (grandniece) Emperor of Golden, Colorado; Victor Young (nephew) and Christopher Young (nephew) of the Bay Area.
David was preceded in death by his In-laws Elsie Toquero (September 19, 2019) and Torquiano "Tony" Toquero May 11, 2003). Their children, spouse and grandchildren; Reynaldo Toquero who lives on Okinawa, Japan; Catherine Grech (maiden Toquero) and spouse Michael Grech from the Fairfield area, and their loving godson (our little brother) Thomas "Tommy" Holstein and partner Jackie Janicek of San Antonio, Texas.
In-law's grandchildren: Daniel (spouse Andrea), Sean (spouse Jessica).
In-laws five great grandchildren: Miylah, Diylan and Talynn Rose (mother Michelle); CJ and Colin (father Sean) all residing in the Northern California bay area. In San Antonio, Texas three grandchildren: Madalyn and Harper (father Tommy) and their brother Bradyn (mother Jackie).
David received an A.S. in Aeronautic but turned later his profession as a computer technician. Devoted to his family, known for his hospitality, fun and loving personality. He loved playing short stop/managing a softball team, singing karaoke, playing the piano or guitar, taking photographs for weddings, playing Majong, loved skiing/snowboarding, hiking/camping, and taking family/or friends to Chinese restaurants (mostly in SF or Fairfield).
On Saturday, 14th of December 2019, visitation, funeral service for non-denominational, with reception will take place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Location will be at the Nicoletti Chapel of Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home at 5401 Folsom Blvd Sacramento, CA.
David's family has found comfort in preserving his cremains at home.
