Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many passed away peacefully at home on December 31, 2022. Born February 24, 1947 in Sacramento, California to Bernard and Connie Huerta. He is survived by his sister Priscilla Perez and his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Elsie. David and Elsie met in 1972 while attending Sacramento City College. Together in Sacramento, they raised their two sons John (Rebekah) and Michael Huerta (Melissa). David was a proud grandfather to Jaxson, Maxwell and Kayla Huerta. David served in the United States Navy and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. David had a passion for fishing, local sports, movies, playing cards with friends and enjoying the company of his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Catholic Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Saint Peter-All Hallows Parish, 5501 14th Avenue in Sacramento. Interment at 12;00 PM at St. Mary’s Cemetery. A reception will follow at Msgr.Corell Parish Hall at All Hallows Church.
