He was born in Rumford on March 23, 1953 a son of Michael and Cecilia (Shanahan) Ricci.
Thomas attended schools in Mexico.
He was employed with Terry Bernard Construction Company for many years and was also a volunteer fireman with the Mexico Fire Dept.
Thomas loved watching sports on TV and attending the mud races in Mexico.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoyed spending time at the American Legion and the VFW.
Surviving are a brother, Dennis L. Gelhar of Oxford; two sisters, Margaret L. Swan of Sherman, ME and Shirley Schultz and husband William of Meridian, Idaho; four nieces, Christa DeVega, Sonya Bisson, Tracy Mintz, and Terri Bruce; and four nephews, Todd Swan, David Gelhar, Daniel Gelhar, and Steven Gelhar.
He was predeceased by his parents.
