Farmington, ME – Priscilla M. (Goudreau) Dupill, 94, of Rumford, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Edgewood Rehab and Living Center. She was the wife of the late Henry W. Dupill, who died in 2021.
She was born in Rumford, ME on April 21, 1930, a daughter of the late George & Marie Anne (Roy) Goudreau. She grew up in Rumford, attended local area schools and graduated from Stephens High School.
As a young woman, she worked as a telephone operator for American Telephone and Telegraph. While her children were young, she was a stay at home mother. She then worked as a teacher’s aide at St. Athanasius and St. John’s School.
Throughout her life, Priscilla loved children and would always light up when a child entered the room. During her years at St. A’s and St. J’s, she was known as the tooth puller. Many a student with a wiggly tooth would go to Mrs. Dupill’s room so that she could gently pull it out for them.
Priscilla was a lifelong communicant of St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Paula J. Mills and her husband Philip of Rumford, a grandson, Philip Mills and four step grandchildren, Katrina Luxton and her husband Adam, Corey Mills and his wife Heather, Nathan Mills and his partner Ashley Block, and Shainna Mills and her fiancée Peter Berni. She also leaves behind two brothers, Robert Goudreau and Rev. Paul Goudreau, her sister Claire Goudreau and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Brandon Dupill and sister of the late Rev. George Goudreau, Jeanne Goudreau, Maurice Goudreau, Pauline Goudreau and Rev. Joseph Leo Goudreau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11 am at the Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Ave Rumford, ME.
Burial in St John’s Cemetery will be private.
