Born in Milton Plantation, Maine, on May 25, 1923, she was a daughter of Florus Poland and Floris (Johnson) Poland. She was a graduate of Woodstock High School in 1940.
Gwendolyn was married in Bethel, Maine on August 21, 1949, to Dr. Levi W. Sherwin, Chiropractor, until his passing in August of 2006. She is survived by her son, David and his wife Maureen of Hillsborough, NH; two grandsons, Eric (wife Melissa) and Gregory (wife Krystal), and three great grandchildren, Noah, Genevieve and Khai. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She adored her grandsons and great grandchildren very much. She always looked forward to their visits and FaceTime chats.
She was predeceased by brothers F. Edward Poland and Alberto Poland and sister Ruby (Poland) Coffin.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral Services honoring Gwendolyn’s life will be celebrated privately.
A private burial will be held later in the Spring at Greenleaf Cemetery in Milton.
