Born on March 07, 1982, Dustin was the son of the late David E. Woods, who died on January 27, 2022 and Joanne L. (Richards) Woods of Peru. He attended Rumford Elementary, Peru Elementary and Mountain Valley High School where he enjoyed playing soccer and graduated in 2000. His love for the outdoors was endless, Dustin enjoyed life to the fullest and was very passionate about hunting, fishing, four wheeling, cooking, producing maple syrup, and especially organizing the 4th of July fireworks grand finale show at Worthley Pond. Dustin’s smile was infectious and everywhere he went he made friends.
Dustin grew up on Somerset Street in Rumford, Maine and at Worthley Pond in Peru enjoying the neighborhood friends and family, he especially liked to play hide and seek and skateboard on “The Ramp” Dad made. He also enjoyed sledding and skiing in the back yard and at Black Mountain of Maine. He lived and raised two beautiful girls with Stephanie at Worthley Pond in Peru where he could stay close to family and friends. As a young man he held various jobs including carpentry, Peru town crew, road inspector for TYLin, and most importantly, he was able to work with his dad for many years at Lauren Engineers & Constructors.
Dustin is survived by a large and very close family: his two daughters Brooklyn and Brianna, three brothers, Craig and wife Angela, Jamie and wife Melinda, Tadd and wife Jenn; three chosen brothers; Shane Amoroso and wife Amy Newton, Jamie Cook, Jason Irish and wife Libby, along with his love Liz Chretien. As well as eight nephews and nieces; Colten, Ethan, Delaney, Kara, Morgan, Adam, Emily and Makenzie; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be dearly missed by all, including his two furry friends Mia and Brielle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life for Dustin at the Worthley Pond Farm at 153 East Shore Road, Peru, ME on Sunday October 29, 2023 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM, all are welcome.
