Wayne Edward Carter

Wayne was born to the late Thurlow Spivey Carter and Tomlyn Mitchell Carter on April 4, 1952 at Crawford Long Hospital. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Lisa H. Carter; brother, Graham Carter and his wife Jeanette of Atlanta, GA; and nieces, Jenifer Thompson, Elizabeth Carter and Katherine Carter, all of Atlanta, GA.

For over 45 years, Wayne worked in Atlanta in the men’s clothing industry for Zachry’s/Hartmarx and Neiman Marcus. In 2020, Wayne retired from Neiman Marcus.

Wayne enjoyed being on or near the water. He loved fishing, traveling on cruises, spending time at Beau Rivage in Biloxi and vacationing in Destin, FL.

There will be a Celebration of Life Open House on Sunday, October 8th from 4:00-6:00 at one of his favorite restaurants: El Porton Mexican Restaurant 11190 Alpharetta Hwy, Roswell, GA 30076
