He loved to cook, he loved listening to music, he loved his bulldog Molly, he loved to fish, he loved to go places, he loved a great party. But beyond all else Steve Brooks loved his family and friends. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone he considered a friend. He loved us all, and we all loved him.
After his time with the Army, he graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and built a career as a chef, primarily here in Atlanta. He had a tremendous love and appreciation for all types of music. He built a great music collection, and enjoyed attending concerts, especially the Grateful Dead. His other interests included traveling – around the country to visit family, to Europe while in the service, and fishing and hiking to Montana, Alaska, the Bahamas and Costa Rica.
