Mrs. Sonia Salgado Smith, resident of Cumming, passed away on Nov. 27th, 2012. Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Agapito and Laura (Reyes) Salgado, she was educated in the U.S. Northeast and became a world traveler. She was the glue of a large, close-knit family. Instilling the value of that closeness in her children and grandchildren was Sonia´s highest priority. Her radiant personality and loving nature will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Federico Alberto, her son, Federico Guillermo and daughter, Sonia Alexis.
Surviving are her children Dr. Robert S. Smith & spouse, Ginny, Laura & spouse, Dr. Pedro Sanabria, grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, Pedro Alejandro, Federico Alberto, Sonia Nicole, Nicholas, Daniel and Jacqueline, and great grandchildren Blake, Federico Andrés, Isaac, Sebastian, Yasmin, Rocío, Samuel, Nathan, Philip and Manuel.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., Dec. 1st at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Roswell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
