Shoan was a wonderful and loving wife. She was known for her infectious smile, her joyful laughter and her love of life. While Shoan’s passion was for tennis, she led a very active lifestyle devoted to running, gardening, golf, church and work. She and her husband Jim loved their time at the beach, vacationing in Hilton Head every May.
Shoan graduated from Brescia College with a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude with a double major in math and physics. Throughout her life, Shoan achieved many accomplishments in business where she served as the “strong right arm” in several small businesses, most recently as CFO at Phillip Clark Custom Builders. She touched the lives of countless individuals through her ever positive outlook on life and her genuine love for every one of her many friends. She excelled as a greeter / usher at Perimeter Church for years where she also was a Stephen’s Minister at one time.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jim Finch; her sister, Mary Anna Thrall; her brother, John Hull; her brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Cheryl Finch, Charles and Jean Howell, Randy and Jody Martin, Keith Brown; her stepmother-in-law, Susan Finch; her nieces and nephews: Giuli Hull, Jay and Heather Finch, Jessie Finch, Seth and Krysta Howell, Willie and Valerie Howell, Graham and Chelsea Howell, Curran and Kate Howell, Izzy and Clay McKinzie, Greg and Arlie Butron, Drew and Mary Kate Chatwood, Seth and Allyson Beasley along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. She also deeply loved and considered Claire and Erin Bailey and Calvin and Casey Cook as her nieces and nephews. Shoan literally had a multitude of friends, hundreds of BFF’s, dozens of “sisters” and, rumor has it, even one VBFF. :)
She was preceded in death by her mother and father Ralph and Phyllis Williams and her mother-in-law Maryann Finch (whom she dearly loved) and her father-in-law John Finch.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday April 28th at 1:00PM at Roswell Funeral Home to celebrate Shoan’s life and honor her contributions to our world.
