Sarah was born in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Alfred Van Garrett and late Dora Felicia Garrett. The family lived on a farm for a few years before moving to the city of Docena, Alabama.
Upon graduating high school, Sarah went to work at Bell South, where she met Charles Norman Weaver, employed at A T & T. They were married on July 23, 1953 in Jefferson County, Alabama.
After living her whole life in Alabama, Norman's career with AT & T led Sarah, Norman and the growing family to make several moves. A move in 1957 to Louisiana was the first of nine moves over 16 years. In 1973, the family settled in Roswell, Georgia.
Sarah raised three children through all the moves and nursed Norman through his kidney failure and eventual death in 1982. After the death of her husband of 29 years, Sarah devoted her time to gardening, church, grown children, a growing number of grandchildren, watching University of Alabama football, and annual trips to Helen, Georgia.
Sarah met Robert Lavern Jones through a church group, and they married on August 11, 1990. She and Bob traveled, stayed active in church, gardened, square danced, and spent time with their blended families enjoying activities such as trips to Stone Mountain, Six Flags, and Atlanta Braves baseball games.
Bob passed away on February 27, 2019 and after a second blessed 29 year marriage, Sarah was again widowed. She spent her last years in the home and yard she loved and with many visits from children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
Sarah was a kind, loving, caring, and giving person who will be missed by many.
Sarah is survived by children: Debbie Broadway and husband, Mike of Georgia, Denise Slover and husband, Jack of South Carolina and Van Weaver of Georgia; grandchildren: Courtney Carroll and husband, Michael, Frances Gonzalez, Josh Holmes, Ryan McWilliam and wife, Julia, Garrett Broadway, Carson Jake Smith, and Mike Weaver and wife, Rachel; great-grandchildren: Hazley Carroll, Brayden Broadway, Christopher Gonzalez, Exie Mae Carroll, Liam Brown, Naomi McWilliam, Walker Carroll, Nolan McWilliam, and John Weaver.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Merrill Gardens-Garden House and Agape Hospice Care for the love and care they have shown.
