Ron, as he was affectionally known, will be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend and co-worker. Ron was “very generous” and his life demonstrated his love, his compassion, and willingness to help everyone. His council was sought by many, and his response was encouragement of their dreams. He always concluded the conversations with words seated in his faith, “Just pray about it!”
At a young age, Ronald chose Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior through Baptism at the Sharon Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Ron loved the lord and was very active in Sunday School and participated in both Easter and Christmas plays.
Ron professed to having a “photographic memory” which was evident and remains undisputed based on his high academic and professional achievements. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County High School in Augusta, Georgia with Honors. Ron received several academic scholarships from top-tier corporations such Proctor and Gamble, DuPont, Toyota and General Motors. He continued his education and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tuskegee University. Ron’s collegiate and professional achievements earned him admittance to several academic and professional honor societies including the American Society of Quality, Personal Care Products Council, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, Omega Chi Epsilon, and Pi Mu Epsilon to name a few.
Ron had an immediate impact on the industry after graduating as he led development of detergent formulation while leading a cross function team in launching an improved Ultra Tide for Proctor and Gamble. He had several progressive leadership positions where he delivered patented processes with game changing impacts to the industry. Ron traveled both domestically and internationally with more than twenty-five years in the OTC, Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Product Industries. He was recognized as a problem solver who delivered U-Turn remediation strategies, enabling failing sites to recover and meet regulatory requirements for compliance. Ron both professionally and personally had a “can-do” attitude and thrived on the challenges faced in crisis.
Ron had a true great love for his fraternity. Ron is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, Gamma Epsilon Chapter, initiated Fall 1988, Diamond Knights of Destiny. He was in constant fellowship with his brothers during his life. He displayed a life-long dedication to the ideals and purposes of the fraternity as he served in various capacities for the good of the fraternity. The fraternity celebrates Ron’s life in transition to the Chapter Invisible.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Berniece and Gilbert Morgan, and his father-in-law, Alvin Inge of Gardena, CA.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Crystal Monique, his children: Eboni, Ronald II and Ashley; a grandchild, Romello Lee Campbell; his mother-in-law, Janice Inge and his brother-in-law, Regis Inge both of Gardena, CA; his brother, Gilbert (Dana) Morgan II of Augusta, GA; his sisters: Jacqueline Morgan, Debra Morgan, DPM, Kathy Morgan and Candace (Kenneth) Williams of Augusta, GA and Dr. Sabrina (James) Graves of Trussville, AL; his uncle, Melvin Thompson of Greenville, AL; his aunts, Louise Butler and Eugenia Bell both of Augusta, GA, his nieces and nephews: Charity Coleman, Emmanuel Coleman, Gilbert Morgan III, Myles Morgan, Zander Morgan, and Jalaya Graves, Kenneth Williams II, Kandea Willaims, Kenniah Williams, Keturah Williams, Kristen Williams, and host of close friends.
The Visitation with the Family will be held on September 24, 2022, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at the Roswell Funeral Home located at 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076.
The “Celebration of Life” will be held immediately following at 3 o’clock in the afternoon.
