Reece Beauford Gardner

Reece was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emma, his son Jason and his 11 brothers and sisters.

Reece was a vibrant and dedicated member of the Kinston, North Carolina community. He was vice president of Gardner Construction Company, a Dale Carnegie instructor, a talk show host and a newspaper columnist. He served as the president of his Rotary Club and as a District Governor. He was a candidate for the NC State Senate and was active in many candidates’ campaigns. Reece was also an involved member of his church, serving most recently as a Sunday school teacher. In every capacity, Reece had the ability to make people feel special and important and bring light to any situation.

Reece was truly loved by all who knew him and was a dedicated father, grandfather, relative and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Nix (Bob) and son, Reece, Jr. (Lisa) as well as his grandchildren: Rachel Nix, Davis Nix, Patrick Nix (Shea), Tessa Gardner, Emma Gardner; great grandson, Wyatt and all of his beloved family members and extended family.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Fellowship Church, Pauls Path Road at 11:00 am on Friday, June, 16th.
