Rebecca Smith McCorkle, aged 31, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Born on May 28, 1993, to Bryan and Pamela Smith in Livingston, New Jersey, Rebecca was a beloved wife and new mother to Garrett and Blake McCorkle.
Rebecca and Garrett shared a boundless love, filled with witty banter, adventures at the beach, exploring new foods, enjoying Bravo marathons, cheering for UGA football, and often spoiling their two dogs, Louie and Zoey.
Throughout her life, Rebecca accomplished so much. She grew up in Marietta, Georgia, blossoming into a remarkable woman before attending the University of Georgia in Athens. After graduating, she launched her career with LuluLemon in Atlanta, where she discovered her passion for the fitness industry. Following a year in Atlanta and managing a long distant relationship, Rebecca and Garrett settled in Saint Louis, Missouri, and eventually Houston, Texas. Each move enriched their lives with cherished memories shared with family and friends.
Rebecca touched countless lives with her radiant smile and laughter that could light up any room. Her big heart and direct communication style often caught people off guard, but this was her unique way of showing she cared deeply. While she never hesitated to voice her complaints, she was always open to trying new things. Above all, Rebecca cherished her friends and family more than words could ever convey.
She will be profoundly remembered by her husband and son, Garrett and Blake McCorkle; her mother and brother, Pamela and Max Smith; and her extended family from the Berk, Denburg, McCorkle, Poole and Smith families. Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Bryan Smith.
A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. Light refreshments will follow the service.
