Phyllis Johnson Springfield passed away at Saint George Village on Jan. 13, 2012 after an extended illness. Phyllis was an active member of Roswell United Methodist Church. She served as Church hostess at one time, serving meals for the entire congregation on a weekly basis. She is well remembered for her quick wit, loving ways, kindess and her precious smile. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Gardner Johnson, Sr., her second husband, Johnny Andrew Springfield, daughter, Angelynn Johnson Cumbie, mother-in-law, Johny Hardee Johnson, and grandson, Michael Gray. She is survived by her children, Robin and James Gray, Bambi Womack and Judy Ficken, and William "Chip" and Gail Johnson; grandchildren, Jordan and Eric Kuhn, Eric Gray, Tyler Womack and Eric Strom, Sgt. William Womack, and Quinn and Ara Johnson; great granchildren, Audrey and Mikey Gray. Visitation will be held Sun., Jan. 15, 2012, from 5 -7 P.M., at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA 30076. The Funeral will be held Tues., Jan. 17, at 11 A.M., at Roswell United Methodist Church, 814 Mimosa Blvd., Roswell GA. She will be placed at rest at Green Lawn Cemetery at 1 P.M., Tues, Jan. 17.
