Pauline’s two great loves were her family and her music. She and her husband raised five children. Pauline was born in Worcester , Massachusetts in 1928 and attended Malden High School in Malden, Massachusetts, earning a school letter in Orchestra for 1943 – 1946. She then attended State Teachers College in Lowell, Massachusetts, majoring in music and playing the Bass Fiddle, graduating in 1950. Quoting from her senior yearbook, “Paulie” was described by fellow classmates as “… our radical historian… reserved charm...appealing voice...sincere...refined… ambitions tend to the domestic”. She taught music, married in 1950 and honeymooned in Havana, Cuba. Her favorite lifelong hobby was playing piano. Her full-time occupation was raising five children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Tully and two of her children, John E. Tully Jr. and Sharon Flynn. She is survived by a daughter and her husband, Andrea and Gonzalo Romero, and two sons and their wives, Paul and Paula Tully and Brian and Jessica Tully, plus grandchildren; Crystal Collins, Ruslan Tully, Stephanie and Allison Thornton and Natalie and Caroline Tully, along with several great grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association for their research into Dementia.
