Nicholas Thomas Sarge

Nicholas Thomas Sarge, age 84, of Roswell, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. Nick was born April 18, 1938, in Newport, KY to the late Mary Louise (Schoo) and Carmen R. Sarge. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Mary, his parents, brother-in-law Malvern Connett, brother-in-law Lawrence Kolkmeier, brother-in-law James Kolkmeier (and wife Eileen), sister-in-law Ruth Kolkmeier, and sister-in-law Marilyn Kolkmeier.

Nick is survived by his children, Andy (and wife Angie) Sarge of Anderson, SC, Shelly McArthur (and husband Jack) of Roswell, GA, Colleen Gallagher (and husband Ed), of Cumming, GA, Jenny Spencer (and husband Jim) of Alpharetta, GA, David Sarge (and wife Shannon), of Cumming GA, Brian Sarge, of Roswell GA, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Merilou Connett of Taylor Mill, KY, brother Carmen (Sodie) Sarge (and wife Maureen) of Fort Thomas, KY, brother-in-law Raymond (and wife Sue) Kolkmeier of Cincinnati, OH, brother-in-law Paul (and wife Jane) Kolkmeier of Independence, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nick was a thoughtful, fun, loving soul who served his community volunteering with church ministries and worked as COO for MacGregor Golf Corporation. He enjoyed playing bocce, travelling and the outdoors, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves with his wife. He loved to cause mischief with his grandchildren and supported them at many events throughout their lives. His memory will be cherished by friends and family forever.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, December 28th at 10:00 AM at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 535 Rucker Road, Alpharetta, Georgia 30004. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Saint Jude's Hospital.
