Mimma Buffa

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Mimma Buffa, who peacefully left us on March 27, 2025, in Alpharetta, GA, at the age of 95. Born on January 1, 1930, in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, to Mariano and Sara Monticciolo, Mimma lived a life marked by strength, kindness, and loyalty.

She was the devoted wife of Damiano Buffa, who preceded her in death 33 years ago, and a loving mother to son Giovanni Buffa (Cynthia) and daughter Geri Duty (David). Mimma’s memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren Angie Morlan, Daniel Duty, Derek Duty, great-grandchildren Reid Morlan, Ava Morlan and Jonathan Duty, and the many friends and relatives whose lives she touched.

A true matriarch, Mimma was deeply committed to her family, always bringing them together for Sunday dinners. Her home was a sanctuary filled with her very own beautiful artwork and the warm scent of homemade meals, coffee, and desserts, reflecting her nurturing spirit.

Mimma leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love that will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
