Mildred (Millie) Rebecca Ferrell age 96 passed away on December 4, 2024. Millie was born in Atlanta, Georgia, April 28, 1928. She was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area and was very proud of her home state of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David H. Ferrell, her parents Hoyle and Grace Mercier, sister Frances Jones and brother, Hoyle Jr.
Millie was a much-loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was truly a gracious southern lady known for her warmth, sense of humor, and style. For several years she worked as an administrative assistant at the Coca Cola Company but her passion was working as a homemaker and mother to her three daughters. She was a member of the Roswell United Methodist Church and sang in the choir there for 35 years. Her Christian faith was a great source of comfort to her. She also enjoyed spending time with her many friends.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Lynn Baker, Gail Snyder, and Jennifer McMartin. She is also survived by her sons-in-law Jack Snyder, Mark Baker, and Chris McMartin; grandsons, David Snyder (wife Heather), Cole Baker (wife Elizabeth), Bret Baker, Tyler McMartin (wife Elizabeth). Great grandchildren are Knox Snyder and Eleanor Baker. Nieces are Bonnie Ferrell Clifton and Diana Jones Becker, and nephew Norman Ferrell.
Millie’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her memory will forever be cherished.

She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, David, in a private ceremony in Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Roswell United Methodist Church.
Flowers can be sent to the RUMC at 815 Mimosa Blvd. Roswell, GA 30075. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the RUMC Sanctuary Choir.
