Mary Lou Wright

Marie was born on April 19, 1932, in Hatley, Georgia, the daughter to the late Elwood and Minnie White.

Marie and her children lived in Perry, Georgia, until she moved to Roswell when she married Mr. Wilbur Wright in 1977. They lived in Roswell for 42 years until he passed in 2019.

Marie loved having family and friends around. She loved hosting family get togethers at her house and having a good meal and even better conversation. Everyone loved coming together at her house.

She loved to be on the go especially with her daughters-in-law who helped take care of her over the past couple of years. Marie was always ready for a pedicure, some shopping, a bite to eat, or just riding around town.

An avid bargain hunter, Marie loved a good deal. She loved finding things on sale and enjoyed shopping for things at thrift stores and yard sales. She had a keen eye for finding the best deals. She loved to talk to everyone, and she made friends everywhere she went.

Marie touched many lives. Her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Along with her parents, Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Wright, and five of her six siblings as well as two of her children: Jerry Wells, and Carole Hudson.

She is survived by two of her loving children: son, William Kurt Wells (Annette), of Newnan, Georgia; and son, Timothy Lee Wells (DeDe) of Sarasota, Florida. Grandchildren: Lisa Keesey (Doug), Lena Lyons (David), Candace Wells, Ashley Block (Logan), Stephen Wells, Tyler Wells (Bria), and Laurie Carlton. 12 great-grandchildren, and even 1 great-great-grandchild and many relatives and friends.

The visitation for Marie will take place at 10:00am on Monday, July 11, 2022, at the Roswell Funeral Home and Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia. The funeral service to honor the life of Marie will be at 11:00am following the visitation. Family graveside service to follow the conclusion of the service at Green Lawn Cemetery.
