Martin Derek Needs, 59, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on August 23, 2021. Born to late parents, John “Ted” Needs and Marion Stone Needs on September 12, 1962 in Usk, Wales. Martin spent his childhood in Cwmbran, Wales, later relocating to the United States in the 1990’s.
Martin had a passion for rugby. He played at a high level in his youth while in Wales. He continued in his young adult years, playing for clubs both in Wales and the United States. It was the camaraderie of the sport and the long lasting friendships he built during his rugby career that Martin loved the most.
He ran a local remodeling business and was extremely dedicated to his craft. Watching his sons share the same love for sport brought him joy to watch; he also enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining his family and friends. Martin had a witty personality, a caring spirit, and the ability to make anyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Along with his parents, Martin is preceded in death by his uncle, Tim Needs.
Martin is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Tricia Fera Needs; his beloved twin sons, Evan and Dylan Needs; dearly loved Cocker Spaniel, Biscuit; sister, Deborah Parfitt (Alun); aunt, Joanne Needs; inlaws; Peter and Josephine Fera, Amy and James Zacha, Peter and Christine Fera; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends in the US and Wales.
