Ken was a native son of Roswell and was born to the late James Lee and Virginia Pauline Carlisle on September 16, 1939. He grew up just a half mile from his beloved grandfather, George Washington Coleman, on Hackett Road.
He was an entrepreneur with many talents. He owned Land Surveying and Concrete Products companies in Roswell before “retiring” as the proprietor of the Suches General Store at the foot of the beautiful North Georgia mountains. Those of us who know him realize that he would never retire until Parkinson's disease sadly confined him to a wheelchair and even then he was still on the job.
His wife of 63 years, JoAnne Pruitt Carlisle, daughter, Lisa, and son, Tim, feel the huge loss of a dear husband and father. His sweet granddaughters: Autumn, Faith, Savannah and Emma will miss their Papa Ken. Carolyn, David (Judy), Neil (Janet), and Russell (Gloria) join them in cherishing the life of their brother. His sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
We want to share cherished memories of Ken with his many friends and family from 11:00am - 1:00pm at Roswell Funeral Home. Visitation will be followed by a service at Roswell’s Chapel, with burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
