Jon was born in Buras, Louisiana on August 18, 1945. He served his country in Vietnam and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army on January 1, 1976. After a long and successful career in accounting, Jon retired from Georgia power and was full-time, husband, father, stepfather, avid tennis player and statistician. Jon was known for his gentle, kind, and patient demeanor, his passion for tennis and keeping statistics on all things in life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Thelma Davis. Jon is survived by his wife, Geri, daughter, Valerie, and 6 stepchildren (for 28 years): Sandi, Tom, Diane, Ginger, Anna and Jeff. Jon is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd., Roswell Georgia, on Monday, March 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
