John Wharton Hanson, 68, of Marietta, GA, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home from Pulmonary Disease.
Born in Salisbury, MD., he was the son of the late Tom W. Hanson and Doris W. Hanson. John is survived by his wife Miriam Terry Hanson with whom he shared 34 years of marriage. He is survived by his sons, John W. Hanson Jr., and his wife Tammy of Bel Air, MD.; Chad R. Hanson of Bel Air, MD.; two sisters, Linda H. Rubenstein and her husband Peter of Andover, MA; Jean H. Wharton and her husband Roger Wharton of Salisbury, MD.; a grandson, John Hanson III.; a niece, Laura C. Corry of Andover, MA.
A celebration of John’s life will be held Thursday at 1 pm at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., Roswell, GA. A reception will follow at the Clubhouse of Highland Park, Marietta, GA.
