Mr. Jalil " Jay " Poorak

Jalil enjoyed working with his hands. He loved working on his garden, making it a lush oasis for his family. He loved high powered sports cars, they were his toys. He loved spending time with his children and his beautiful wife Sima. He was born in Abadan, Iran. He attended Southern Polytechnic University. He was the president of Southern Electric Company. Everyone in the contracting community who ever worked with him knew he was a powerful man, a man of his word, and a man who could be counted on to follow through.

He is survived by his wife, Sima. His daughters, Mahsa and Parisa. His son Daniel. His siblings, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Roswell Funeral Home at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 18, 2018.
