Gifford Edward Bowers

Ed was born on December 26th, 1926, to Gifford Emery and Eva Robertson Bowers in West Palm Beach, Florida. After graduating high school, Ed served in the Army as a Combat Engineer during World War II and following his service attended Southern Business College in Atlanta, Georgia. Ed retired as an accountant from the Coca-Cola Company in 1985.

Ed was predeceased by his mother and father, Eva and Gifford Bowers; wife, Barbara Bowers; and sister, Mary Bartlett. He is survived by his two daughters, Karen Ann Fisher, and Sherrie Lynn Walker; six grandchildren: Bryan Fisher, Jason Fisher, Wesley Fisher, Cody Walker, Annie Walker, Taylor Walker); and 6 great grandchildren: Mellie Fisher, Brooks Fisher, Jackson Fisher, Ward Fisher, Allie Fisher, and Mercy Fisher.

After retirement you could find Ed teaching his grandchildren how to play tennis, dancing at the American Legion, traveling the world, trading stocks, and having family dinner at the Crabapple Tavern.

A funeral service for Ed will be held Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076.
